Hi Everyone! My name is Barry Graziano and I will be managing your daughters softball team this Fall season. I am a returning Manager from this past Spring season, maybe some of your daughters may have played against us on another team. The E"Lemon"ators did very well and our girls softball skills improved tremendously throughout the season. I was very happy with progress we made and player development. There are 4 players returning from the Spring Season so there are going to be some new faces among us and I am very excited to get started. We are going to practice hard, play hard, and have a lot of fun doing so. We are going to have a great season and the Division is ours for the taking. I promote a fair and competitive team with an aggressive playing style. Our team goal of course is to win the Championship, but the ultimate goal is for our girls to improve as players. We will be working hard on fundamentals' and technique, and will be visiting the batting cages on occasion.
I typically have the girls play 3 times per week, whether it's practices or games. Last season we practiced monday, wednesday, and fridays at 5:00pm-7pm at Spectrum community ball field off of Val Vista/Williamsfield. I typically arrive at the field around 4:30 pm for those girls who would like some extra work. We will also schedule practices on Gilbert Parks & Recreation fields as scheduling permits. If there is any scheduling conflicts please contact asap.
Our team colors are black and yellow. Yellow jerseys, black undershirt, black pants, and yellow socks. The League will provide the yellow jerseys and socks, please acquire the black undershirt and pants prior to the first game. Hi Everyone,
We knew going into this game that it was going to be a tough battle, and it was. Bad things; too many (correctable) defensive errors and some tough breaks. Good things; we had very good pitching and our girls fought hard to the end. They didn't give up despite being down. Our girls were hitting the balls but the Angels outstanding defense wasn't allowing us to get on base. Heart breaking loss for our girls....but it's only one game. The girls fought hard and showed a lot of heart. We have some more work to do and we will get there.
With that being said; we have a game tomorrow night at Old McQueen. Please have your girls there before 645pm. We are going to have a practice on Tuesday as well, with a game on Wednesday. Wednesdays game is going to be a tough game so we will need our girls to bring their best. There will be a practice at Old McQueen on Thursday evening. I made arrangements to have a pitching machine for our use so please make your best attempt to get your girls there.
The more we practice as a team the better we will be, so I can not stress the importance of getting our girls to every practice.
